LAUNCH SCHEDULE FOR Fall 2024:
Oct 26 Nov 9 -- CANCELLED Nov 23 -- CANCELLED Dec 7 Dec 21 A word from our Prefect: Hello TMO !Before I get to the launch report, I need to inform you all that the next launch on 11/9 has been cancelled. As it turns out, there were numerous schedule conflicts and having the launch on this date is not possible at this time. I am sorry for any inconvenience. Please read the below launch report from 10/26 and I look forward to seeing you all at the next scheduled launch.
Well, our first launch of the year was a doozy! We enjoyed GREAT weather and a big turnout. I counted 33 flight cards when it was all said and done. A BIG shout out to all who helped set up and tear down. I also want to thank the TMO "old guard" in helping make my first launch as Prefect an enjoyable albeit sometimes frenzied experience. We had a number of L1 certification flights attempted by students from Miami of Ohio University. GREAT JOB guys! Michael from Elyria, Ohio came down to do his L2 certification flight on his 4" Katana on a J350. His flight was successful. CONGRATULATIONS Mike!
Andrew from Akron, Ohio came down to do his L3 certification on a 5.5" rocket he called Goblin Tinkerer. His project was powered by an M1297. He also was successful on his flight! CONGRATULATIONS Andrew! A special thanks goes to all who made the long trip out to launch with us. Especially Ken who traveled all the way from West Virginia to launch his 5.5" Patriot on an L1000. Also THANK YOU Lee Berry for coming out and being the coolest vendor anyone could ask for.
Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to a flight made by a young lady named Annabelle. She launched a number of beautiful rockets but one did catch my eye. She launched a 54mm kit called "Bat to the Bone". What was impressive is that she prepared and flew full electronic dual deploy on this kit on a G motor! The flight was successful and went pretty high to boot! CONGRATULATIONS Annabelle! I see Junior L1 in her future!
Thanks again and see you all at the next launch!
